Dunn County Conservation Program

  • The Dunn County Conservation Program (DCCP) was created in 2024 to improve water quality through the installation of Best Management Practices.

    DCCP is funded by the Dunn County Water Resource Board, Dunn County Commissioners, and Dunn County Soil Conservation District.

    • Livestock Pipeline

    • Pumping Plants

    • Solar Pumps

    • Water Facilities (Tanks)

    • Wells

    • Cross-Fencing (Perimeter or Boundary are not eligible for cost share)

    • Cover Crops

    • Rangeland, Pasture, & Hayland Plantings

  • Cost share funds are allocated on a first come, first serve basis, as available. If you would like more information, stop by our office or give us a call at 701-764-5646 ext. 3.

Alex Lazorenko Memorial Tree Planting Program

  • The Alex Lazorenko Memorial Tree Planting Program was created to promote conservation tree plantings within Dunn County. All tree planting done by DCSCD must follow NRCS Standards and Specifications.

  • Cost share for the Alex Lazorenko Memorial Tree Planting Program is split 60%-40% between Dunn County SCD and the Producer.

    To be eligible for this cost share program, tree plantings must be:

    • Planned and planted by DCSCD

    • Follow NRCS Standards and Specifications

    • At least 1,250ft

    Cost share funds allocated may not exceed $5,000.

Upper Spring Creek Watershed

  • The Upper Spring Creek Watershed Program is available to help with the implementation of conservation practices. This program is funded through the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality.

    The Upper Spring Creek Watershed Program closes in July, 2026.

  • Land located within the upper Spring Creek watershed (shown above) is eligible for this program.
